About the Business
The company was formed by virtue of a 'management buyout', the result of local government re-organisation. The challenge of becoming an S.M.E in its own right was readily met by the current workforce who are stakeholders in the company, owning the majority share.
The culture of business markets, products, customers and clients has been absorbed into the company to the effect that the organisation has now become totally customer orientated.
In 2009 Swansea ITeC and 6 other like minded training organisations within the West Wales region joined as a consortium in order to offer a stronger bid for forthcoming WBL contracts, the consortium was later joined by 3 other WBL training organisations from the Merthyr / Rhondda area and Skills Academy Wales (SAW) Academi Sgiliau Cymru (ASC) was formed. A successful tender bid was delivered and a contract duly awarded for the period 2011-2014.
